I’ve been plugging away at some pencils here (really rough) for The Devil’s Hand. The initial drawings I was unhappy with have been reworked and I’ve decided that since this is going to be delivered as a webcomic, I’m going to make it one big long freakin scrolling comic. I saw the idea used over at What Things Do, so I’m going to adopt it.

I’m enjoying the square format as well. Originally I was trying to be all creative with border breaks and overlaps and all of that stuff that makes American comics very flash-n-dash (which was stolen from manga in the first place) - but I’m going to go back to a simpler format. The story and the images should work together, no matter how it is laid out (if done correctly.)

Hey, it worked for Gold & Silver Age comics, so why not now?
